First, let me start by saying I am sorry I am so late in posting this. Baby Luc has been on a mission to stay up past midnight this entire week and I am exhausted. Ok so now my excuse is out of the way, hopefully this makes it in time for you guys to check out today’s events and if not hopefully the events over the next 2 weeks.
Passport DC is an annual event put on by Cultural Tourism DC. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore the world while remaining in your city and keeping your savings account in tact. Over 70 embassies open their doors for tours. There’s lots of music, cuisine, street festivals and even competitions.

The first event is the Around the World Embassy Tour. Over 50 Embassies from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East participate. Sample cuisine, get hennad, learn to wrap a sari, learn dance moves, and even some karate demonstrations. The event is absolutely free!!!

My favorite countries are pretty much all in Europe so this is right up my alley. This even kicks off Europe Month.

Embassy Chef Challenge
For my foodies: A dozen Chef’s from different embassies come together to present you with signature culinary delights. There will also be a top shelf bar and silent auctions. The cost of this event is $250.

Asian Heritage Festival-Fiesta Asia
A HUGE street fest an market place- come do some Bollywood street dancing and Asian crafting.
