Paris> Washington DC. Paris< Washington DC. Paris= Washington DC????? If I had to choose one over the other I just absolutely could not! I love them both!!! So of course I was thrilled when I was reminded that this is one of the most anticipated shopping weekends in Georgetown’s Book Hill neighborhood. That’s right!!! Today and Tomorrow (April 25-26 between 10am-5pm) marks the annual Georgetown French Market. Feel like you are shopping in one of Paris’ open air markets while enjoying savings of up to 75% . Shop for art and antiques while nibbling on pastries and sipping on aromatic coffee provided by the local restaurants. Come alone, with your love (Paris is for lovers) or bring the babies!!! The TD Bank parking lot at 1611 Wisconsin Ave will have a carnival feel as there will be live music, mimes (yes mimes!!!!) and a Parisian face painter. There will be tours at the historic house museums as well as arts and crafts for kids. The restaurants will set up curbside shops and most importantly there will be discounts on wine. I think I just fainted. This annual market just might save my husband thousands of dollars. Instead of Paris every summer I will just stroll over to Georgetown! Hope to see you there!
The market takes place on Upper Wisconsin Ave between P Street and Reservoir Road
Park in downtown DC and catch the Circulator to avoid congestion.
